I’m Speaking At WordCamp Kent

Well, it’s official — I’ve signed on to host another WordCamp session, this time at WordCamp Kent.

This is another great opportunity for me to share the tips, tricks, and strategies I’ve personally implemented that have enabled me to earn a six-figure yearly income freelancing. Actually, this will be my fifth speaking engagement following WordCamp San Diego in March. I would call myself Carmen Sandiego at this point, but I’m actually pretty easy to find… All you need to do is look for a WordCamp stage near you.

I’m excited to once again give my spiel on earning substantial, sustainable income while working as a freelancer. I’ve learned the ropes of the freelance game on the fly, and together we’ll delve deeper into a dozen or so topics that’ll help ensure you’ve set yourself up for success as a freelancer.

Successful freelancer rules to follow

In fact, you can read my series on five-figure freelancing here and here to get a feel for this session.

This Ohio gig means I will have spoken at Universities on both North American coasts, as well as in the middle of the country for WordCamp Kent. I’ve also traveled across the Atlantic to participate in, and sponsor, WordCamp Europe.

These trips would not have been possible if I were still working a typical nine-to-five desk job, something I’ll be sure to point that out in my talk. So, for me, 2016 was an eye-opening year to say the least.

I’m looking forward to seeing some now-familiar faces at yet another great WordCamp event, as well as networking with fellow WordPress experts. If you can’t make it to WordCamp Kent, you can still read my philosophies on all things freelancing as well as my tips and tricks for freelancers right here.

I’ve written about this topic before, so if you can’t make it to Ohio please click here and read my series on how you can start earning more as a freelancer today. These are a good primer for what my talk at Kent State will cover, and I’ll be sure to post the video of my session here in July.

Five Figure Freelancing - WordCamp Vancouver 2016

I’m excited to share my stories of both good and bad clients, along with the trial-by-fire nature of freelancing in general. I’ll share how each of these experiences have helped propel me past the six-figure mark.

Should you miss me at WordCamp Kent, don’t worry. You’ll still be able to read my story and learn more about my journey and insights into the world of full-time freelancing right here on my blog.

However, if you just can’t wait for this event to get here then I’d be happy to share my tips and tricks with you early. All you’ve got to do is click that button fancy below and schedule a phone call with me today.
